CUT OFF MACHINE
A cut-off saw is a rough saw, also known as a chop saw or a saw is a power tool usually used to cut hard materials, such as metal, tile, and concrete. The cutting action is carried out with an abrasive disc, similar to a thin grinding wheel. It's not technically a saw, as it doesn't use the edge of the tooth (tooth) regularly for cutting.
These saws are available in a number of configurations, including table top, freehand, and walk-behind. In the table top model commonly used for cutting tile and metal, the cutting wheel and motor are mounted on a rotating arm attached to a fixed base plate. These models are electrically powered and generally have a built-in vise or other clamp. Meanwhile, the freehand design is usually used to cut concrete, asphalt, and pipes on construction sites. This model is designed with the handle and motor near the operator, with the blade at the end of the saw. This type of Cut Off does not highlight the vise, because the material being cut is larger and heavier.
